B & M Woodworking (B & M Woodworking NW now) is a family owned and operated business located in the Pacific Northwest. We have been designing and building Jewelry boxes, boxes, bookends and other fine wood products since 1982.

If you wish to meet with us in person, you can see us at the Portland Saturday Market, space # 229 ( under the west end of the Burnside Bridge in Portland, Oregon)
Saturdays and Sundays March through Christmas eve. This has been our primary sales location since the beginning of our business 25 years ago.
Along with our sales location at Portland Saturday Market we do a few Arts and Crafts shows. We will post additional show schedule as we get conformation.

About our Products

Our boxes, Jewelry Boxes, and bookends are made using the finest domestic and exotic hardwoods available.
( we use only solid woods )

Our joinery methods depend on the style of the box and include interlock, butt joints and 45 degree tapers. Joints are reinforced using hidden joiner plates where practical. Our primary hinge method is a hidden bronze pin recessed at each end of the box.

Our bookend hardware is a heavy gauge ?L? shaped brass footer that is inserted into the recessed and slotted bottom of the wood. It extends ¾? into the wood and is permanently affixed with epoxy.

In order to maintain the natural beauty of the wood, we do not use any colored stains or over sprays. The final finish on our product is two coats of semi-gloss lacquer which is hand rubbed to an ultra smooth finish and then buffed to a medium reflective glow.
